You can claim a home office if it’s used exclusively for your business. If the room gets any other use from you or your family, you technically can’t claim it. You can deduct expenses related to that room, such as the percentage of your rent that covers that room, etc. You definitely should be consulting a qualified accountant to know what you can and can’t do.
