I have a really great office space in the front room of my home. It suits all of my needs, except for the fact that it doesn’t have a door, just an opening into the hallway. Aside from installing a door, I’m wondering if anyone has ideas (maybe something from IKEA?) about how to close off the space with something more sturdy than a curtain.

Still looking for suggestions! I have considered getting a rod that extends over the opening of the room with a sliding barn-style door or thin panel, but haven’t found anything I love on Pinterest or DIY sites. Hoping I can knock this out myself.

They make folding doors that slide back and forth. Perhaps that would be an option? I don’t believe they’re very expensive and they’re easy to install. Or you could buy a folding screen, which could be decorative so it looks good on the outside.
